Kitui Agricultural show committee does a shoddy job

Agricultural show and trade affair set to kick off on Thursday only a day away, KituiOnline associates have information that more than half of ground work had not been done by yesterday,Tuesday 21st July. Stands seems to be less than 25% ready for use. This has forced the team to work in a rush 24hours a day. Do we need more qualified event planners in the county government or is it a norm?

The agricultural trade show should help farmers form strong networks, through which they can share ideas, acquire training and information relevant to high quality and quantity production in the sector. The event presents a low cost opportunity for farmers, who cannot afford the high costs of transport to benefit from the market readily availed by rural trade shows to sell their products at relatively high prices compared to the low incomes they get through middlemen when selling right from the garden.
