Wiper Leader and Coalition for Reforms and Democracy Co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has said he is ready to support any Cord co-principal in the race for presidency as the key agenda is to dethrone Jubilee. ‘We will not create a gap in our alliance and give Jubilee an advantage.’ He said.
There are speculations that cracks are already forming in the CORD coalition party after Mr. Raila Odinga failed to honour a promise he made in 2013, he had agreed to be a one-time president if he won the elections and later hand over the badge to his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.
Kalonzo said delivering the country is the primary goal, noting that Cord Leader Raila Odinga and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula are equally capable of steering Kenya to where it needs to be.
The former Vice President warned the Jubilee government from harboring any hope of a split Cord,he said that they will stand united until 2017 polls when they will finally overthrow the Jubilee government.
“I am ready to support Raila or Wetang’ula so that we can deliver this country. I assure you that Cord will remain intact. We will not split,” he said.
Kalonzo spoke on Sunday 15th May, 2016 at Ulinzi Primary School grounds in Kitui County, where he was the chief guest during a thanks giving service, several Wiper leaders from Ukambani were also present.
