Mwingi Central Wiper MP, Joe Mutambu who has since decamped Wiper for Jubilee on Thursday May 27 told the Abagusii community to join hands with the Kamba community in support of Jubilee in the upcoming 2017 General Elections.
Mutambo who has openly critiqued his Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been keen on initiating development projects working closely with Jubilee to discredit Kalonzo’s leadership as devoid of development.
Speaking on Friday during prize giving ceremony at Mosisa Mixed Secondary school in Masaba, Kisii County Mutambu said the Kisii and Kamba is one people.
He added that it’s time to shun divisive politics ahead of next general elections. ‘This way, we will secure victory by 60 per cent; there will be no speculations of rigging because the margin will be too big, Jubilee will win rightfully and squarely.’ He said.
Mutambu has been quoted before saying that since he started working with the government more than 400,000 residents in his constituency have received tittle deeds.
‘If my grandmother can get her tittle deed before she dies, that is more than enough. This is as a result of my effort, constantly making trips to State House.’ Mutambu said.
He said he was not telling the community to support anyone. He only wants them to support the side that offer support in development, which Cord cannot offer.
MP Mutambo is among Kamba leaders who have been de-whipped by the Wiper party, and are keen on delivering the Kamba votes to Jubilee.
