Kitui Senator David Musila has told county government officials to engage in politics at their own peril.
Musila said if he becomes the next Kitui County Governor any official who will have opted to take sides during the campaign period will be shown the door.
Musila who is the closest rival to the incumbent Governor Malombe has advised civil servants to stay neutral to guard their interests.
‘Malombe’s reign is coming to an end. Any official who propagates Malombe’s agendas during campaigns will go down with him when I take over the mantle.’ He said.
The Senator was speaking at Kiio Secondary School where he was the Chief Guest during a Prize Giving Day held at the School.
Senator Musila is set to meet Mwingi North leaders today in Kyuso, his rival Governor Malombe is said to be planning similar tour to the region, the Governor made the announcement Sunday evening. Speculations are rife that the meeting is meant to scuffle the senator’s scheduled meeting.
