Stop “auctioning” our community; Gov. Malombe tells Jubilee sympathizers

Governor Malombe has said the Kamba community should not go for anything less than the Deputy President in any political pact.

Malombe said this amid rumours that some Ukambani leaders want the Former Vice President Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka to join Jubilee, which is said to have offered him the position of speaker should he dump Cord.

This comes barely two months after Deputy President William Ruto invited Cord principal and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to join the ruling Jubilee coalition.

Mr. Ruto had maintained that it was naive and wrong for Mr Musyoka to stick with Opposition leader Raila Odinga when his own ODM MPs were showing open contempt and disrespect for him.

However, Governor Malombe urged the community to remain united. He said they can no longer be used as catapults to spring other people to power anymore.

Malombe has warned Kamba leaders who have declared their support for the Jubilee government to stop “auctioning” the community as the Kamba people would get nothing but a raw deal from the Jubilee coalition.
