Outcry over delay on president’s return visit to Ukambani catches KeNHA eye.

Uhuru Kenyatta keeps snubbing calls for major Kitui-Kibwezi road, leaving residents bitter. However KeNHA has assured residents the President will launch the road sooner.

On social media, many Kambas have gone on an outburst scoffing the president of lying to the Ukambani people after the period he gave for his return visit expired some weeks ago.

Agitated Kambas who have been anxiously anticipating for the launch of the Kitui-Kibwezi road took to twitter to share their messages of disappointment while some tagged the President’s official twitter handle for failure to honour his word.

Nic Tosh Reggaemania tweeted “@KeNHAKenya@UKenyatta did you forget your promise to come and launch the Kitui-Kibwezi road #MiracleMonday.

The tweet saw the Kenya Highway Authority swing to action an hour later assuring the concerned residents that the launch would happen sooner.

@Nic¬_Tosh2 The Authority is finalizing on a few issues. Soon the road will be officially launched.” KeNHA replied in a tweet.

President Uhuru Kenyatta had postponed commissioning of the construction of the key road project in Ukambani earlier last month.
