Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana has accused Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr, MP Kibwezi West Hon. Patrick Musimba and the former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile of working with his political opponents to destabilize his government.

Kibwana has singled out Senator Mutula Jr and challenged him to declare whether he wants to be the Governor or the Senator.

Kibwana further accused Mutula Jr, Musimba and Kalembe Ndile for playing as malicious critics of his government as part of the scheme to disapprove the county development, so that what the county is doing will not be seen.

Kibwezi West MP Musimba has in the past lobbied for support and declared his interest for governorship as the periodical supremacy wars emerge in the county. Musimba was elected as an independent candidate surviving a Cord wave beating Kalembe Ndile in the previous elections.

He is said to be a man of means. By fighting Kibwana, those versed with Makueni politics say Musimba is consolidating his support through elected leaders as he prepares to launch his quest.
