On Saturday, the county woke up to news that another school in Kitui county was reduced to ashes on Friday night.
Mutonguni Boys dormitory went up in flames on Friday night but no casualties have been reported yet, the police are investigating the incidence to unravel the cause of the blaze.
This comes amid concern over rampant cases of arson attacks increasingly being reported across the county.
Other schools in Kitui County recently affected by arson attacks include Katulani Secondary School, Kauma Sec School and Kyome Boys.
Kenyan schools have recently been plunged into chaos with many burning dormitories and schools offices in what has been linked to the mock exams fever.
During a closed-door meeting last month, the Ministry of Education noted that fear of expected strict supervision of national exams, poor leadership, unrealistic rules and drug abuse were some of the reasons behind the spate of burning attacks.
Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has however, imposed strict regulations on students from schools involved in chaotic incidents.
