New FKF Chairman – Kitui Chapter promises to transform sports in Kitui County


Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Kitui sub-branch has a fresh office. In its belated elections conducted on Tuesday July 19 Gilbert Mutema was declared the winner and the new Chairman for FKF – Kitui Chapter.

“We are changing Sports in Kitui County and we are urging members here to support us when need arises” jubilated Mumo said in his winning speech.

Other positions were the Vice Chair which was scooped by Reuben Keli, Secretary went to Samuel Kitonyo. Treasurer to Raphael Kyalo, Assistant treasurer elect was Peter mutava and Alex Kithome was elected as the Assistant Secretary.

Women representative post was taken by Lucy John while Youth representative was won by Martin Muthengi.

The event was graced by branch chairman Anthony Makau who after the event launched the Kitui County League at Nguutani Grounds in Mwingi. He called on the county government to support the youth engaging in sports saying that sports should perceived as a career and thus must be accorded equal attention.
