Machineries laying around at Mulutu market.

Three weeks ago without a notice to the residents, county tractors and other machinery were on site ready to demolish structures in the small Mulutu town shopping centre.

Mulutu residents patiently watched as their business structures went down in rubble but they did not oppose as they knew the move was meant for their own benefits.

But as time has elapsed the residents have started to sense mischief as slowly things begin to turn against their expectations.

The residents are getting impatient every day, and when they recently asked for alternative place to transact their business no one was listening to them apart from the noise emanating from the machinery at work.

As if that is not enough, during the demolition water pipes were broken and up to date they have never been repaired. Residents have survived without water for three weeks.

Their cries only fell on the ears of the Former Land’s CS Charity Ngilu who was came to talk to the residents, but she had minimal help to offer since she is not in the government.
