Sonko Mike Mbuvi double-speak on his political stand.

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko seems to have a changed of his mind over his earlier remarks of a possibility to decamp from Jubilee to Cord if Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka becomes Cord’s flag bearer.

Mike during a burial ceremony in Machakos last month had hinted that he could decamp to Cord to support Hon. Kalonzo if he had been chosen as the ideal flag bearer Sonko had said he would vie for gubernatorial position in Nairobi using a Cord ticket.

Sonko now says it is impossible for Kalonzo to be the flag bearer, and called on him to join Jubilee, the ruling party.

He said that Kambas cannot afford to stay in opposition for another five years. He was speaking at Machakos, at a time that the cord coalition seems to be at crossroads on who to pick to fly cord’s presidential flag.
