“You are welcome back.” Jubilee tells Ngilu.

MP Irungu Kang'ata

Former Lands CS Charity Ngilu who formed part of the Jubilee coalition that took power in 2013, has been invited back into the newly formed Jubilee party.

Ngilu who is the Narc party leader has been asked by Kiharu Member of Parliament Irungu Kang’ata to follow suit and fold up her party to join grand Jubilee party just like President Kenyatta and DP Ruto who have already folded their parties (TNA and URP) and joined the new party.

“I want you to become the Governor of Kitui, but the best way you can repay me is by folding Narc and joining Jubilee. Everybody knows that Jubilee will form the next government and that is why everyone is joining the winning team. ” Said the MP on Sunday.

Ngilu who was iniatially part of the ruling government has since gone back into politics after her dismissal from Cabinet over corruption allegations.

Ngilu has already declared her interest the gubernatorial seat and has indicated she will be contesting for the seat on her National Alliance Rainbow Coalition (NARC) party ticket, and not CORD or Jubilee.

She is set to battle it out with the Wiper chair, David Musila, to whom she lost the 2013 Kitui Senate race and Malombe who is set to defend his seat.
