Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu is the man never short of controversies, despite being tagged as a rebel and Jubilee mole,he has maintained a commendable development record that had won him many hearts in his constituency.
Although he is facing a tough battle ahead of 2017 with more than five contenders vowing to dethrone him in the next general election, it will not be an easy thing, Mutambu is the first Member of Parliament in Kenya to chip in KES 10 million into the government project of vocational institute/colleges in each constituency.
Among many other development projects that have been initiated by the Mwingi Central Member of Parliament are several dams across the constituency, Construction of Nuu Technical, Construction of the notable Enziu bridge, improvement of road networks and many school bursaries.
In addition that Mutambu while working together with the jubilee government has also managed to provide over 40,000 title deeds to Nuu people after many years of land qualms.
Mutambu will indeed be a hard nut to crack for the Mwingi Central aspirants who have expressed interest in the seat, among them former LSK Chairman Eric Mutua, Former political adviser to the Kitui Governor Charles Kyale, Dr. Gedion Mulyungi and businessman Muinde Mutukaa.
