Maasai’s political old-timer and a Former Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament William Ronkorua Ole Ntimama died on Thursday night at his home in Narok.

According the family the veteran leader died of natural causes and his body has since been transported to Lee funeral home in Nairobi, Narok Police boss Abdi Galgalo said.

Ole Ntimama has been a long –serving politician and a parliamentarian prior to his retirement in 2013 and was a strong supporter of the Jubilee government. He recently had led a Maasai delegation to state house where they agreed to join hands with the newly formed Jubilee party.

The de-facto Maasai leader had served as chairman of the Narok County Council for 15 years and 25 years as MP and minister.

The Maasai community will remember this outspoken leader, who for four decades has been in the public eye championing for their rights.
