The Cord Coalition has indeed been rocked with lots of confusion, being the only party that in less than a year still lacks a flag bearer for the forth coming general elections.
Previously leaders within the party have speculated existence of poll bearer wrangles of which all the three co-principals have denied, the uncertainty is however likely to take a toll on the coalition.
Cord has been undecided on who among the co-principals should carry the flag and this dilemma is likely to weaken for the coalition.
From the latest development, it is unlikely that ODM leader Raila Odinga will step down for either of the other two co-principals who are Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula.
Last weekend while attending a funeral in Western Raila said he is the best placed candidate to face it with Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta and he is not ready to step down for anyone.
These statements have not gone down very well with Kamba leaders who obviously had high hopes in the candidature.
Now the akamba have made a declaration that if Kalonzo will not be on the ballot paper, Cord should has well forget Kambaland vote.
The disappointed leaders have told ODM leader Raila Odinga to now FORGET ” KAMBA VOTES” if Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka is NOT the Cord’s Presidential Candidate. This decision has been made following the Opposition leaders’ remarks.
