Muungano Party wants Jubilee Party to drop ‘Pamoja’ slogan.

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana.

Makueni governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana now demands that Jubilee Party stops using the word Pamoja in their ‘Tuko Pamoja’ slogan and has written to Registrar of Political Parties to act with urgency.

This could be a big blow to the soon-to-launch Jubilee merger if Muungano party request is granted with only a day left for the party launch at Kasarani.

The Muungano Party uses the word Pamoja in its slogan while the Jubilee is using Tuko Pamoja. Muungano Party says the word Pamoja is registered as their slogan and its use by the Jubilee Party brings confusion among its members and supporters.

In a letter dated September 6, Muungano Party led by Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana says Jubilee Party which has been registered and allowed to use the slogan ‘Tuko Pamoja’ is against the law.

Kalonzo and Kibwana are working closely in what might be a silent but strategic move to go into the 2017 polls together. Governor Kivutha Kibwana’s Muungano Party has hinted at a possible merger with Wiper.
