Five Ukambani Members of the Parliament who recently shifted camps to Jubilee are said to have clashed over what has been said to be Jubilee party allowances.

Three MPs among them Kisoi Munyao, Victor Munyaka and Regina Ndambuki have accused their counterparts from Kitui County Joe Mutambu and Rachael Kaki Nyamai of fleeing with their money given as allowances by the Jubilee party.

Kisoi and his colleagues claimed that they received an allowance of Kshs. 300million from Jubilee which they were to share amongst themselves but the two Kitui MPs have decided to run away with the whole amount.

The MP is said to have confessed about a secret meeting they held and decided to make the delicate shift to Jubilee and agreed on how they would share their hefty allowances since their chances of being re-elected are very little.

When reached two MPs Kisoi and Regina said it was unfortunate that these MPs had decided to run away with their money despite having agreed on a ‘benefit’ sharing plan.

This is not the first time the Mwingi Central MP has been accused of running away with people’s allowances, earlier this year when Ukambani delegates paid a visit to the state house. Mutambu is said to have short-changed Governor Mutua bolting with his allowance.

Indeed “Hii ni Party ya pesa” to use Ida Odinga’s words. “Jubilee! Pesa! Jubilee! Pesa!” Ida ridiculed defectors joining Jubilee during the ODM’s 10th birthday saying they are only pushed by love for easy money.
