Wiper leader and Cord Co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has told off defectors from Wiper party, daring them go down to the electorates and ask for a re-election.

“If you want to know defection is good or bad, dare these people to go down to the people and ask for support from the electorates.” Kalonzo said during a brief with newsmen yesterday. The Wiper party lost close to ten of its Ukambani legislators to the newly formed Jubilee party.

Kalonzo said he is confident that the defectors who among them is Member of Parliament from his own home turf Mwingi North, will pay the price of being disloyal to their people and to the very party that took them to power.

The Wiper leader said he is preparing grounds to launch his presidential bid in a big and fashionable style very soon, Mr. Musyoka who has been traversing the country popularizing his candidature believes he will fly the Cord coalition flag come August 2017.

“I will very soon launch my presidential bid at a mega ceremony preferably at Kasarani grounds.” Kalonzo who will be contesting for the presidency a second time after coming third in 2007 has insisted he is the most suitable candidate to battle it out with the Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Cord coalition has been unable to agree on the most suitable flag bearer with all the three co-principals Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka having declared their interests in the top seat.
