It was on a fateful Friday night that the area chief of Kyome Mrs Grace Muli smelled a rat and visited the home of a loner man feared by many at Ndaluni village only to be shocked by the sight of two dead bodies well preserved in his house.
The bodies were of a woman Ndila Munyoki whose whereabouts had not been known for four years and her daughter’s Mary Munyoki who died in 2013 at the age of 8 months.
The woman Ndila had been married to the suspect and had borne him two children before she disappeared into thin air.
Upon interrogation by the police the suspect said his daughter died in 2013 at the age of 8 months and his wife died in 2014 due to sickness and he preserved the bodies using an herbal medicine. Ndila Munyoki born in 1976.
This came out after the her mother of the deceased came travelled from Tala in Machakos County to visit her daughter who married one Munyoki Mwanzia aged 42 years twelve years ago.
Both bodies were taken to Migwani Sub-County Hospital mortuary awaiting post- mortem.
The suspect has since been arrested and is being held at Migwani Police Station pending further action.
The suspect was staying with his son Mwanzia Munyoki aged 16, whom the officers found having been circumcised by the suspect himself barely four days prior to their ambush.
All this was prosecuted under the nose of the villagers who say nobody associated with the suspect as he is believed to be a witch! The suspect said he had been waiting for Jesus.
