Machakos is a pothole free county

It is disturbing to know a pothole costs the taxpayer more money if left to become the size of a shoe, mtungi, car and such.

Yesterday Thursday Oct 6 Machakos Governor declared Machakos County a pothole free county on all tarmac roads across the county. Mutua said he will work through the clock to ensure there is no road that is left for the dogs.

“The problem we have as a country is that our road are never maintained, we compromise on a coin size pothole, it expands to a size of a shoe then to a car size and eventually our roads become impassable. I want to say that Machakos roads will be on a 24/7 maintenance mode.” Gov. Alfred Mutua said during the declaration.

Mutua guaranteed motorists a smooth ride and dared them to report any incidence of a pothole through his official email and county SMS platform 22502.

While declaring Machakos a pothole free county governor said he will personnel on the grounds to monitor and ensure Machakos has smooth tarmac roads 24/7.
