Burial of Nzalani Boys Band lead singer suspended as rocky family squabble erupts

Rasta Kim was attacked and hacked to death by unknown assailants.

Popular lead singer of Nzalani Boys Band Rasta Kim will have to wait a little longer before his lifeless body can be put to rest.

The burial of the deceased who died on Sept 29 after he was attacked by unknown assailants was to take place today Saturday Oct 8 but the plans have since been called off after family dispute erupted ending in court.

The maternal uncle to the deceased is said to have caused fracas insisting that the late Kim who is a half orphan would not be buried before his deceased mother’s dowry is settled in full.

The dramatic events have now send the burial organizers into chills after they held a successful WhatApp harambee that managed to raise Kshs 560,000 to aid in giving a decent send-off to the benga legend.

“It is quite sad that an evil man who is supposed to be condoling with the family has taken advantage to frustrate the bereaved family.” A concerned member said.

“Kim was the first born in a family of four and the children are raised by their father independently with the help of his siblings, the father has struggled to educate them. Now Kim’s siblings have been wailing persuading their uncle to show mercy and let their brother rest in peace but his stone-heart will not change.” Paternal aunt to Kim said.

The burial has since been put to halt until the stalemate can be solved accordingly. Paternal uncle to the deceased has urged family and friends to stay calm as they sort out the issues; he has promised that their deceased nephew would be laid to rest as soon as it is possible.
