The former Lands CS Charity Ngilu seems to be making advances into joining the opposition after her party missed out in forming the grand Jubilee party.
Ngilu has her eye on the Cord coalition as she over the weekend hinted on her intentions to join the opposition coalition. Ngilu while addressing mourners at Wavinya Ndeti’s husband burial, she seemed to wonder why a woman was missing in the coalition mix.
Ngilu faulted the three cord coalition principals saying a woman should be among the principals to strike the constitutional balance. She urged the three CORD principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula, who were in attendance, to consider adding more women in their alliance.
Did Ngilu indirectly ask the three principal to consider her as a fresh force in the fight to clinch the presidency?
“Odinga, Kalonzo and Wetangula add more women to CORD because that is the missing bit. I only see three men in this alliance all the time. Where are the women?” Ngilu posed.
The former Lands Cabinet Secretary stated that there were women from the area who could make the Opposition strong including herself. Raila, who stood to address the mourners, seemed to confirm that Ngilu could be joining them after he announced that she was on her way to CORD.
Kalonzo promised Ngilu that the opposition will ensure women get equal representation ahead of the upcoming General Election.
Ngilu who is the party leader for the Narc party could be a great addition to the opposition as it could add in strengthening the kamba vote.
