Kalonzo tells Muthama to quit Wiper

Wiper party leader Dr Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has warned Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama against causing division in Ukambani region otherwise he quits Wiper Party.

Speaking during the party’s rally on friday along Mombasa road enroute Taita Taveta, Kalonzo publicly told off the senator to avoid politics of harming the unity of leaders in wiper and other parties in the lower Eastern region.

The incident happened after Muthama castigated Makueni County governor Prof Kivutha Kibwana of purporting to support Kalonzo Musyoka for the presidency in the 2017 elections.

Mr Muthama argued that Kibwana should dissolve Muungano Party and join hands with other leaders at Wiper party.

The former VP Kalonzo said that it’s his wish to have the community under one umbrella, but that’ll happen with time, citing that he needs the ukambani region vote bloc — from all parties — to win the presidency in the much hyped general elections scheduled for 8th August 2017, should he become the CORD’s flag bearer.

“ I’m the one who holds the vision for this party, and I don’t want any of my votes to get lost. We should not castigate other parties, but rather bring them together to serve a common goal. Muungano isn’t Jubilee”, Kalonzo said.

Senators Muthama and David Musila— Wiper chairman — have been on the spot for fighting other emerging parties in Ukambani region, especially Kibwana’s Muungano party which enjoys massive support and growing popularity especially in the vote rich Makueni County and Governor Mutua’s Maendeleo Chap Chap.
