A section of kitui south professionals have come out to warn Gubernatorial hopeful Hon David musila against picking the current deputy governor Penina malonza as his running mate in the august election.
The over 50 professionals led by their chairman Musyoka Muteti said governor Malombe and Peninah government had failed kitui south for the last four years and appointing Peninah can cause harm to Musila.
They said the people of kitui south had vowed to overwhelmingly vote for Musila as the next Kitui Governor but appointing Peninah as a running mate would be dangerous.
Addressing the media after a church service in Nairobi they said penina’s leadership had affected many and if picked again it will affect many, mostly the youth and women.
They described her as even worse than malombe giving an example of how she failed to secure a job for one of her suffering sisters.
“If she couldn’t even help her own sister to secure a job how will she help others surely?” said musyoka
The professionals added peninah does’t recognise the youth leadership just like Governor malombe.
“We want to challenge penina to state just any 3 youth she has helped?” said Musyoka.
They said she was even unreachable to the youth of the county even to the vocal one’s like county youth chair Aggrey Nzomo, Ben Kilonzo, Brenda Munyao, Edward Kituva, blogger Pat Safari among others.
The professionals concluded that they have endorsed musila and will fully support his gubernatorial bid and ready to deliver 70% of kitui south constituency votes.
They also advised peninah to vie for a political seat and not to just seat down waiting to be nominated.
