Former presidential candidate wins Kitui Gubernatorial. She was on Saturday declared the winner of the 8th August General election. She garnered 162k votes, Senator David Musila came second with 108k and Malombe came in third with 72k.

Ngilu has been declared the winner alongside senator Kiio Wambua and County MP (women rep) Irene Kasalu.

The three have pledged to work to steer the cause of development in Kitui to another level.

Ngilu has highlighted water sector development, Healthcare, as some of his key priorities in her first term as well as eradicating poverty in Kitui County.

“I dedicate this win to the people of Kitui county. I thank my worthy competitors and am ready to work with them.” Said Ngilu.
