Kitui Governor Kaluki Ngilu has hit the ground running following her earnest endeavors to establish development partners to assist in actualizing her ambitious agenda for the county.
Ms Ngilu today met Kenya Red Cross’ Secretary General Abass Gullet with a view of identifying areas of partnership and quick wins assessment.
Mrs Ngilu revealed her plans to revive 107 moribund boreholes across Kitui, provision of certified seeds, face lifting of health facilities and further investment on water trucking.
Also notable is the planned Sh3,000 monthly cash transfers to 500 households for 3 months and procurement of diesel for tractors to plough farms.
She has as well laid down medium term and long term plans especially on water provision, healthcare delivery and disaster/risk management.
