Ngilu happy with Supreme Court’s annulment of presidential election

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to annul the presidential election in which Uhuru Kenyatta was declared winner against his closest opponent Raila Odinga.

Addressing the press at a burial in Kalambani village in Mutha Ward, Kitui South, Ngilu lauded the Court for “granting Kenyans a second chance to express their democratic will via a fresh election of Head of State.”

She said the polling exercise was marred by electoral illegalities if the evidence adduced by NASA lawyers before the court during hearing of the petition was anything to go by.

“Jubilee leaders must know that we are tired of repeated rigging of presidential elections. I want to tell them that nothing will stop Raila Odinga from leading this nation since he clearly is the leader who has won the hearts of majority Kenyans besides having been voted for overwhelmingly,” she noted.

The former Land Minister in UhuRuto’s government further beseeched NASA supporters across the country to turn up in large numbers to vote for Mr Odinga during the repeat poll slated to be held within the next 60 days.
