Ngilu revokes sand harvesting in Kitui


On Tuesday Kitui Governor, Charity Kaluki Ngilu led an operation of its kind at River Tiva where Over 5 lorries were nabbed during the Ngilu led operations and taken to kitui police station.

The lorries were found  in river Tiva, harvesting sand illegally. According to the people involved  in the ‘operation’ only one lorry had been paid for.

Ngilu told kwa vonza residents/youths to go for better business ideas in her office.

“It is very painful for my people to be misused by sand brokers to load lorries with sand, paying them little money and giving them drugs” Ngilu added.
