Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has finally apologised to Kitui Governor, Charity Ngilu over his rape remarks he made last month.
He spoke on Wednesday, September 20th for the first time after the remarks during an interview with a local vernacular radio station where he regretted his remarks saying he has a huge respect for Madam Ngilu.
“Ngilu is like my mother and I have always admired her leadership. I regret those remarks and ask her for forgiveness; please don’t be offended,” said Mbai
Mbai said he will work closely with Governor Ngilu saying her track record is commendable.
“I will support Ngilu’s governorship for the first and second term” he added.
