“Wamama na Uhuru” outfit in Kitui has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to come to their rescue over alleged discrimination and intimidation by top Jubilee leaders in county.
Led by their chairperson and Jubilee Party’s nominated member of Kitui County Assembly, Esther Kalunda Ndile, the Uhuruto supporters complained that the local Jubilee front-runners have been sidelining them when conducting Jubilee campaign meetings and rallies.
“They have pushed us aside and ignored our contribution in seeking Kitui votes for President Kenyatta ahead of the October 26th presidential election repeat,” said Ms Ndile told journalists during a press conference in Kitui Town.
She, however, declared that no amount of frustration and intimidation will deter their resolve to faithfully support for President Kenyatta’s re-election.
The County Commissioner Boaz Cherutich was not spared either as the women slammed him for allegedly interfering with their operations.
“He should mind his business and let us campaign for Uhuru in peace because his continued divisive approach has caused unnecessary ripples within the operations of our well-intended outfit,” demanded Ndile.
