We will not vote on October 26, say Kitui MPs

KITUI, October 20th, 2017: Kitui County MPs have said residents of Kitui County will not vote on October 26, 2017 saying the elections playing field was badly flawed.

MPs Gideon Mulyungi (Mwingi Central), Musyimi Nzengu (Mwingi North), Charles Nguna (Mwingi West), Irene Kasalu (Women Rep), Senator Enock Kimoli and Kitui County Assembly Speaker George Ndotto told wananchi during Mashujaa Day celebrations at Musila Gardens in Mwingi town to stay away from the repeat poll.

The fete is presided by Governor Charity Ngilu and County Commissioner Boaz Cherutich and MCAs.

The MPs praised Governor Ngilu for initiating life changing projects especially her Ndengu Revolution, Medical Outreach Programme, the Water Scarcity Mitigation Programme and the Farm Ploughing Programme.

They hailed her for her sacrifices in the struggle for the second liberation of Kenya noting she had gunned for prestigious elective positions by which she inspired women and disadvantaged groups in Kenya.
