Beth Syengo gets EALA nomination


    Beth Syengo Mutunga was the Deputy Principal of Mwingi Boys Secondary school. In early 2000, she joined politics.In 2002 election, she contested for Mwingi North parliamentary seat but lost to Kalonzo Musyoka.In 2007 elections, she still vied but also lost to Kalonzo Musyoka .

    In both the two elections, she emerged number two.Currently, she is the acting national secretary of Maendeleo ya Wanawake in Kenya.She is the wife to the late Major Paul. She is a Kenyatta University graduate with a degree in Education. She furthered her education in England for master’s degree.

    Beth campaigned for election of Charity Ngilu as Kitui governor .She was Ngilu’s Chief Campaigner in lower parts of kitui County.

    On 30 November 2017, her name was short listed in the list of nominees from the Leader of Minority from National Assembly proposed for EALA by NASA Coalition.
