Against people’s expectations that the president of the republic of Kenya, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta would attend Nyenze’s burial caught everyone surprised.
President Kenyatta was expected to attend the burial but could not make it as he attended to other state functions. He instead send the N.A speaker Hon.Justin Muturi to attend the farewell service and join the family in mourning on his behalf.
His failing to attend the burial seemed as a big blow to Jubilee administration as it was politically beaten as helpless Justin Muturi and Senator irungu Kang’ata watched.
Among those who attended included Assembly Speaker Hon. Justin Muturi,Governors Kibwana of Makueni and Ngilu of Kitui county and several MPs.
Ngilu had nothing much to add about the Ukambani leadership. He did not much venture in the national politics but dwelt much on local politics which has left several of his supporters undecided.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka was represented by acting Wiper chairman, Prof. Kibwana.Kalonzo has been out of the country for several months to attend to his ailing wife in Germany. The question about his absence has been left unanswered.
