State decision to have school heads transferred was ill informed, KUPPET

The recent decision by the Ministry of Education to transfer Principals of Secondary schools across the country has been received with mixed reactions by those affected.

KUPPET Executive secretary, Ndung’u Wangenye says that the CS and TSC chief executive Nancy Macharia are inconsiderate about the welfare of 557 principals and deputies affected by the transfers.

Ndung’u is accusing the Teachers’ Service Commission, and Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i of punishing teachers through the massive transfers.

KNUT leadership led by Sisson also distanced itself with this move by TSC and ministry of education.
