Kalonzo misses NASA’s big day, Raila ‘sworn’ in

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka together with his counterparts of Ford Kenya and Amani National Congress (ANC) Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi respectively,  missed the swearing-in ceremony of NASA leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday January 31, at the Uhuru grounds in Nairobi.

Raila took the oath as the people’s president at Uhuru Park, an event that was to be graced by the three co-principals who went missing hours to the big occasion.
in his post-inauguration speech, Raila said he would give a presser later to explain why Kalonzo did not take oath as the opposition’s deputy presdent and insisted that Mudavadi and Wetangula are still part of NASA.

Here is Raila’s 90-word oath taken at the Uhuru park:

“I Raila Amolo Odinga in full realization of the high calling assume the office of the people’s president of the Republic of Kenya, do swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the people and the Republic of Kenya; that I will preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of Kenya, as by law established, and all other laws of the Republic as adopted by the people of Kenya; that i will protect and uphold sovereignty, integrity and dignity of the people of Kenya.

So help me God”.
