By Fred Mulwa.

The High Court has ordered Inspector General Joseph Bionett and Directorate of criminal Investigations George Kinoti to swear affidavits explaining why they released lawyer Miguna Miguna to the immigration department.

Justice Luka Kimaru also ordered Immigration director Gordon Kihalangwa to swear and file an affidavit explaining how he he took custody of Miguna Miguna and ejected him despite the matter being in court.

The vocal lawyer was deported to Canada on Tuesday night via a KLM flight.

According to the government, Miguna was deported because he renounced his Kenyan citizenship.

Miguna has however rubbished claims that he renounced his Kenyan citizenship and said he will never do that.
