Mutua sets eyes on presidency come 2022


Minutes after being declared having been validly elected as the Machakos governor in the August 8,2017 electiond by the Machakos judge Muchelule,Dr Alfred Mutua announced to  hundreds of  his supporters  that he will vie for the presidency  come 2022.

The Governor who was acquitted  with charges on Friday 9, urged his supporters and the people of Ukambani at large to support him with the promise of eradicating tribalism in the country.

“To the great people of Kenya,the time for fresh leadership that is non-tribal,clean,visionary,creative,energetic and a new way of doing things is here with us.I am ready to serve you,”Mutua said.

Wiper candidate Wavinya Ndeti had challenged his election victory but the High Court Judge Aggrey Muchelule upheld governor Mutua’s victory saying that the Wiper candidate had no valid evidence to support her petition.

Mutua thereafter, with this ruling,announced that he would lounge  a new movement that would advocate for the dreams and aspirations of all Kenyans.

“This movement of Maendeleo Chap Chap is anchored on the principles of peace,real development,integrity and caring for each other,”he said.
