Kitui county footballers have a reason to smile

Mwingi, February, 10th  2018: Kitui county Minister for sports, tourism and culture, Patrick Koki Musau yesterday promised to set up two stadiums with a 5,000 seater capacity through the county government. One in Kitui and the other in Mwingi town.

Speaking in Mwingi town where he had come to reward Mwingi Junior Stars, a football team in Mwingi central, Mr Koki told Kitui Online that the Governor is very passionate about empowering the youth.

The stars were issued with jerseys and balls.

The Minister congratulated the boys for being so disciplined. “I have not seen any chew khat or indulge in other drugs among this team. Please continue making us proud

Mr.Kilonzi, the team’s chairman wishes the county government would sort out issues like  renovating Musila Garden where these youngsters practise from.

His other plea was, the county government to set aside funds that would facilitate movement, protection and promotion of the youths.
