Safaricom foundation hands over a fully elected science lab to Mang’elu secondary school students.
The safaricom foundation today on Saturday February 17th commissioned a fully equipped science laboratory to Mang’elu secondary school in Kitui West constituency, Kitui county.
According to safaricom foundation Chairman Joe Ogutu, they have spend kshs 4.1 million to complete that science lab project citing that it will help the students received more practical aspects of science subjects.
“The advances and development in the field of medical science and technology would not take place if schools didn’t prepare brilliant and dedicated scientists and researchers,” said Ogutu.
Ogutu added that by partnering with the school to build a proper equipped science laboratory, students in the school will develop more interest in science subjects hence improving their examination grades.
However, safaricom foundation since its inception 15 years ago,has invested over kshs.150 million in various projects in the lower Eastern region, all aimed at transforming the lives of the local communities.
