As Kitui West parliamentary seat by elections which are scheduled to take place on Monday next week the 26th of march beckons, the Wiper Party leadership has pulled together all its muscles to drum up support for wiper party candidate Edith Nyenze and is set to use the by election as a litmus test to gauge its popularity in the region.
During last year’s 8th of August general elections, Wiper party was dealt a major blow as it lost three parliamentary seats; two to the Jubilee party and one was clinched by CCU.

Speaking on the Wiper Party preparations towards the by-election at his home in Kalisasi, Mwingi central MP Dr Gideon Mulyungi said that winning the Kitui west parliamentary seat is a do or die thing for the party.
Mr Mulyungi who has been camping in Kitui West for some days campaigning for Late Francis Nyenze’s wife said that it is a must for the Wiper party to win the seat with the greatest margin possible in order to depict its strength in the region and show the strength of NASA in Kitui.
The legislator said that the NASA fraternity remains united and said that the other affiliate parties are ready to take the mantle as the official opposition, even if the ODM party under the leadership of Raila Odinga abandons them and works with Jubilee.
“Since one principal has decided to shake hands with the government, then he is the one to leave the coalition not the remaining three.” Mulyungi insisted
