Mwingi west residents benefits from free medical camp


Over 400 Mwingi west constuents were today (31/3/2018)treated at a free medical camp in Kanyaa and Kakululo areas within Migwani Sub county of Kitui county.

The medical camp was organized by proffessionals from the area in Partnership with University of Nairobi and Mwingi Kenya Medical Training College backed up by the County Government of Kitui’s Mobile Clinic Service as a goodwill gesture during Easter Holiday.

The team was also joined  by
medical doctors and nurses within the Sub county including the MoH who put in the necessary effort required.

Citizens of Mwingi West were urged by one of the professionals to attend regular medical check ups on Cervical Cancer, diabetes, blood pressure among other diseases even when they are not sick to confirm their health status.

“It is very necessary for everyone to be aware of their health conditions especially during these times where a lot of diseases have come up” he clarified.

Mr. Justus Musango Mwingi West Professionals chairman,urged the people to take advantage of Governor Ngilu’s Agenda no. 5 on Wealth Creation in order to better their lives.

Dr. Temi Mutia, an advisor to the Governor, urged the people of Kanyaa and Kakululo to join / form Cooperatives, especially for marketing their forth coming Ndengu harvest.

Speaking during the same function, the Principal of KMTC- Mwingi. Ms. Mary Kibue  said the portal for September 2018 intake was now open and urged the people of Mwingi West to  apply for admission.


Anyone who has interest and meets the qualifications to join KMTC should apply for September intake as it is now open” Mary stated.
