Kitui minister castigates Mulyungi’s remarks against Governor Ngilu

Kitui county CEC Member in the ministry of Tourism, sports and culture Patrick Koki Musau yesterday toured Mwingi town in a bid to counter remarks which were made by the area MP Dr Gideon Mulyungi a day ago warning governor Charity Ngilu against setting foot in his constituency without alerting him first.

However, the meeting by the minister at Mwingi Probox stage was also disrupted by angry youths immediately Mr Musau was addressing residents who had gathered to listen to him.

On an interview moments after the abortive event, the minister castigated Mulyungi for his remarks, saying that Governor Ngilu doesn’t require permission by any MP when touring the county, as she was vote in by residents from across the county.

Mwingi central ward MCA Mary Sila said that the remarks by Mulyungi were quite unfortunate and leaders of his calibre ought to refrain from making such utterances inpublic.
