Mwingi west legislator, Charles Nguna has issued emergency funds to help rebuild classrooms that were destroyed during the rainy season in Nzawa Primary school of Nguutani ward within his constituency.
The MP dished out wa cheque worth Ksh. 300,000 for reconstruction of classes brought down by rain . He was at Nzawa chief’s office where he also issued a cheque of Ksh 650,000 to pay for AP line land.
The lawmaker also said that so far he has issued bursary cheques worth Ksh. 21million; 8 million for university students and Ksh. 13million for secondary school students.
Residents have complained to the MP that electricity posts have fallen following the heavy rains leaving the town in darkness. Nguna has called upon Kenya power to move fast inorder to resolve the problem.
Youths in the area have been warned against use of drugs and instead form groups so that they can benefit from Uwezo fund.
