Kitui county government fulfils it’s pledge to Kyuso boys


Kitui Deputy Governor. Dr. Wathe Nzau on Monday visited Kyuso secondary school within Mwingi North of Kitui county to fulfill his pledge of resettling the students after the dormitory inferno a week ago.

The county government through the ministry of education had promised to restore learning process in the School as fast as possible.
An engineer who assesed the damage caused by the inferno stated that a total of Ksh. 2.3million will be required for renovation together with purchase of personal property lost in order to ensure the comfort of students in School is restored.

On Monday, Dr. Wathe issued 151 beds, mattresses, bed sheets, blankets and bedcovers for the 151 students who lost everything in the dorm fire. Adding that the process to renovate the dorm will soon kick off.
Mr. Benjamin Nzioka, the School principal was urged by the DG to forward names of the needy students so that the county government can sponsor them through bursaries.
Let these boys be in class at all times. Those needy will be supported by the county government ” Dr. Nzau said.
