Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana considers himself a Governor and a pastor.
The soft spoken and most humble governor declared that he is still a pastor when he was invited to speak at Mavuno Church-Athi River.
The governor revealed that before he became the Makueni Governor in 2013 he had studied Theology and this is the reason why he even serves the people better.
“I consider myself both a governor and a pastor because I get opportunities to meet with people not reached out by pastors in funerals, weddings and other public social events” Kibwana said.
The Makueni boss said that many Christians are misled by the opinion that issue concerning the nation should be separated with those of faith.
“I chose to pursue a theological course while still serving as the advisor of the former president Mwai Kibaki… Deep down me I knew I wanted to be a governor and understanding self self and service to mankind drove me to theological school” Kibwana added
To Kibwana, corruption in this country can only be well fought when men of faith are placed to governance.
Makueni County was ranked number three in the most recent counties performance survey with Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu toping the list.
The governor is now ranked among the best governors in the country with the governor admiring his leadership style.
Kivutha Kibwana is now serving his second and last term the Makueni governor and seems to be setting his record straight with awesome performance.
