Kitui County postpones Agricultural show

The Kitui county government has through the Agriculture ministry has announced postponement of this year’s Agricultural show.

Addressing the press at his office in Kitui, Mr kisang’u said the county is rather busy fishing on agricultural aspects to ensure they have something to exhibit not only to Kitui residents but the country at large next time.

“We won’t hold an agricultural show in Kitui, there are things that need completion before we embark on it, there’s no need to hold a show where we won’t have anything to show,” he said.

The Agriculture CEC added that the Kitui government is making strategies that will aid boost agriculture in the county.

He boasted that by next year the county will be ready to hold a super Agricultural show.

“Next year and the coming future, we will hold a big agricultural show since we would have made necessary plans to ensure it’s successful,” Kisang’au said.

Kisang’au further added that according to the strategy the products and exhibitions will be mainly from Kitui County.

Machakos Agricultural show is ongoing while the Makueni held their show a week ago.

The Agricultural Society of Kenya announced to take over the Makueni show to help make it better in the future.
