Parents blamed for student’s in discipline

Parents have been called upon to fully take responsibilities of their children and take great care of them.

Speaking in Kyuso Secondary school, former Managing Director of Kenya Broadcasting Corporation Caxton Munyoki said there are so many cases of indiscipline among students something which could be extinct if parents properly guided and counselled their young ones.

“My urge is you to stop leaving everything to teachers because everybody should play their role in students education,” the former MD pleaded

Munyoki spoke to the parents, teachers and students of Kyuso in his PhD attire during their annual general meeting where he had been invited to mentor, motivate and speak to the students.

He called upon the students to make sure they respect their teachers as well and if they find any issue which needs to be addressed to channel their problems to the relevant authority.

He however issued Ksh. 100,000 to start the alumni account.

The school principal Benjamin Nzioka called upon the parents to be paying school fees in time.

The newly posted teacher added that he is trying very hard to make sure that the school becomes one of the best not only in Kitui County but also in Kenya. He said they are correcting every vice in the school accordingly.
