Murang’a police have laid their hands on a 48 year old man accused of killing his nine month old son at Kagumo-ini village.
The man identified as Francis Muiruri allegedly slammed his son on the floor after a serious argument.
The man is said to have gotten home asking for food where he was offered none thus resulting to violence.
He took the boy and threw him on the ground killing him instantly.
The incident was confirmed by Kandara DCIO Peter Muguika who said that the matter is now with the police who have commenced investigations to determine what transpired.
He said that the body of the toddler was moved to Gaichanjiru mortuary for preservation awaiting post-moterm.
He warned residents against resolving to violence incase of arguments citing that the end results may turn out to be regrettable.
“Don’t act in your anger,wait until it subdues then address the matter,there’s no need for violence among two adults who can sit doen and talk”, Said Muguika.
He told residents to be finding other ways of solving their misunderstanding even if it means jnvolving a third party.
The man is currently held at Kabati police station awaiting arraignment in court.
