Kenya Films and Classfication Board KFCB, a government statutory body wishes to invite the interested applicants to fill up the following available vacancies at the moment.
FILM EXAMINATION OFFICER ll (5 POSTS)
Successful applicants to these posts shall be obliged to perform the following office duties as outlined by the body management ;
Updating the film classification catalogues on behalf of the body.
Organising films and trailers for the classification purposes.
Approving the film posters and trailers on behalf of the body.
Issuing periodical classfication catalogues to the respective clients.
Examining films and broadcast programmes regularly.
Rating commercials, music videos as well as the internet content.
Regular inspection to the cinema theatres centres.
Preparing reports on film examination and classification trends.
For one to be considered for the post, he/she should be a Kenyan citizen.
One should be a bachelor’s degree holder from a recognized institution in either of the following fields ; Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communication, Sociology, Education, Criminology, Religious Studies, Psychology and Law.
FILM MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT OFFICER ll (6 POSTS)
The responsibilities of the qualified candidates in this post shall be ;
Ensuring any film entering Kenya is classified and as well rated before consumption.
Ensuring strict observance to age restrictions by distributors and exhibitors.
Regular sensitization to broadcasters on compliance to watershed principles.
Monitoring production of pornographic-related content.
Issuance of film regulatory licenses to film distributors.
Approving application forms to exhibitors and the distributors.
Applicant to this post should be a Kenyan citizen.
An applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Sociology, Criminology, Psychology, Mass Communication, Law, Religious Studies, Broadcast Production and Education.
One should have a certificate in Computer Application.
SECURITY OFFICER ll (1 POST)
Under this post, the qualified applicant shall undertake the following duties ;
Enforce firm security and enhancing security to the visitors.
Conducting security surveillance regularly.
Ensuring the safety of premise equipment and offices.
Ensuring emergency firefighter is serviceable and in good conditions.
Implementing the premise’s security policies in liason with board’s Head of Administration.
Maintenance and keeping of security register on behalf of the body.
Administration of first aid in case of an emergency.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One should be a Kenyan citizen.
An applicant should have 10 years working experience out of which three years should be of working as a Security Warden l in either a busy private or a public entity.
One should posses a KCSE certificate with a minimum grade of D+
One should be knowledgeable about the security operations and the procedures and how to react swiftly incase of any alert.
An applicant should posses a certificate in Computer Applications.
One should be physically as well emotionally fit.
