Former Prime minister Raila Odinga has finally spoke on the arrest of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Voice of America Swahili service, Raila urged Kenyans to exercise patience DPP Noordin Haji lays bare the evidence he has against the Supreme Court judge.
“If somebody is arrested and charged, there should be enough evidence that will satisfy the public to avoid allegations that the person is being persecuted. I have said that people should be patient. We should wait and see what evidence the director of public prosecutions has… I would advise that we exercise patience because patience brings blessings,” Mr he said.
The well-known opposition leader who was speaking from Germany called upon those reading malice in the arrest of the Deputy CJ not to rush into conclusions maintaining that that he was fully behind President Uhuru’s fight against graft.

Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu was arrested on Tuesday by Officers from the Directorate of Investigation (DCI) at the Supreme Court and whisked to DCI headquarters for questioning over alleged corruption.
Huge transactions of money in the collapsed Imperial Bank and failure to pay taxes are the allegations labeled against her.
Kenya Revenue Authority first reported Mwilu to the DPP for moving huge sums of money from her bank accounts.
The DPP,while addressing the press on the DCJ arrest, said that he had compelling evidence against the her.
